After its' introduction in 1973, Jolana Vikomt and Iris guitars became very popular and Jolana continued to develop its' Telecaster line with the introduction of Altro guitar and bass in 1975. The improvements over Iris design were the bridge with adjustable saddles and solid body with no f-hole (although Iris was also a solidbody, it featured an odd f-hole on the upper body side). Altro also had Alnico magnet pickups, just like Iris.
