Neoton appeared in 1958-59 at Hradec Kralove shortly after most of the production moved from Rezonet factory at Blatna. Actually, Neoton was the first guitar to bear the "Jolana" name - that year the factory was renamed by its' manager, mr. Josef Ruzicka who named the factory after his daughter. It was also the first hollowbody produced in Czechoslovakia.

Neoton had four modifications, with first two featuring a "banana" socket - a type used in vintage radios. Only two last two mods had a regular guitar jack.
