This page features a full list of all Jolana/Resonet/Neoton models. If a model is missing on our site you will not see a picture/link next to the model's name.
This page's aim is to find some order in Jolana serial numbers.
Jolana's serials are always stamped on the guitar's neck. It's either on the headstock or on the neck heel. Czech collectors say the numbers relate to necks and have no meaning.
Dating of Jolanas can be done only aproximately by potentiometers' dating and production dates of a particular model.
Of course, if you have a Jolana serial that's not listed here, please contact us.

Sorting methods:
The production of Czechoslovakian guitars started in 1954 at Blatne (Bohemia), when it was called Resonet and the guitars were not as cheesy as they became later. In 1959 the production moved to Hradec Kralove (Bohemia) and Blatne factory produced guitars only untill 1960. It was also the time Joseph Ruzicka, the production manager and the father of Czechoslovakian guitars, gave the new brand name - Jolana - to his guitars. We include Resonet guitars in this list simply because it was the same crew under the same management.
Later in 1963 Jolana opened additional factory in Krnov (North Moravia) and in 1965 another plant in Horovice (Bohemia) started producing guitars. The instruments on this page are sorted by production location. All the dates are approximate: we've gathered them from different sources and there are probably lots of mistakes. Guitars are dated by potentiometers' dates so if it's dated 1969 it could also be 1970 or 1975 (but not 1968). The models are dated according to Jiri Tutter, the owner of the biggest Jolana collection in Bohemia. We have no information on how many years a certain model was in production, so the yellow background indicates there's an evidence the guitar was made during that year.
